The modular-design sterilAir ESD system operates in air-conditioning systems as an effective bactericidal "filter" with virtually no air-resistance, and it is offered as ready-to-install unit with a UVC tube, or as a double-tube version.

The housing of the sterilAir ESD installation kits is made of a square, stainless steel tube. The electronic supply unit is built into this. To ensure optimal adaptation of the system to differing requirements, this type of device can be fitted with various UVC tubes from the high-efficiency range of tubes.

In the ESD installation kit the tube mounting is a fixed part of the housing. The installation length of the complete system unit therefore means that at least one dimension of the duct must match the installation dimensions. Depending on the type of tube that is chosen, the installation dimension is between a minimum of 50 cm and maximum of 95 cm.

The selection of the suitable UVC tubes, the appropriate electronics, the correct system design, the required level of radiation, and consequently the recording of the relevant process data – all this makes the dosage-response assessment a multifaceted, but also a complex technical challenge.

Our sterilAir technicians, engineers and designers combine current expertise with over 80 years of UV technology know-how. For the calculations and the designing of the system we use simulation software which is the first of its kind and has been developed by sterilAir in cooperation with the physicists at ETH Zurich.

Continuous endurance testing and load testing in our test rigs guarantee maximum quality and product safety, so you can be certain that the installation is truly state-of-the-art.
